Isgrove Goes Posh
Youngster Lloyd Isgrove will continue his development at Peterborough United after securing himself a loan spell at the League One outfit.
The 21 year old is another name that fans are watching out for and he's appeared on the bench a number of times for the club this season but yet to make his league debut, having made his club debut back in October 2012 in the Capital One Cup against Leeds, and then this season making his full debut in the same competition against Barnsley.
The loan to Peterborough will see him make his Football League debut and it's a good chance for him to get some good football minutes under his belt.
Posh are sat in sixth place in League One, so it's bound to be a good experience for him wit them chasing promotion.
Executive Director Les Reed explained to saintsfc that as usual we don't farm out a lot of youngsters on loan, preferring to be more selective, and when this opportunity arose for Isgrove it was too good to turn down.
'Lloyd has a fantastic opportunity to experience playing in a team competing for promotion and for victory in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. He has had significant experience training with our first team and being in the squad and on the bench, so is now ready for this short term challenge.'
Reed goes on to say that he believes Peterborough play football the correct way and will treat him right, so it should really suit him and give the player an opportunity to impress between now and May 3rd when the loan expires.
In other youth news, Academy goalkeeper Harry Isted has signed his first professional contract with the club, following fellow U18s Marcus Barnes and Josh Debayo doing the same recently.
