Stephens Also Gets Loan Spell

Stephens Also Gets Loan Spell

Youngster Jack Stephens has also gone out on loan and his destination is Swindon Town.

Quickly following on the heels of Lloyd Isgrove, the 20 year old skipper of our U21 side has also been given the opportunity to expand his first team experience with this loan spell to League One.

Fans may now, prior to signing for us for around £150,000 back in 2011, his spell at Plymouth Argyle in the same division saw him make five appearances for them, debuting as a 16 year old such was his potential.

He joined us initially on a three year deal, and earlier this campaign extended his contract with us until the summer of 2017.

Executive Director Les Reed told saintsfc.

'Like Lloyd, an opportunity has arisen for Jack to extend his development in the short term at a club where he will be encouraged to play good football until the end of the season.'

It should be a good experience again for Jack, and building on his training with the first team and involvement in some games for us, it should help give him a good leg up for next season where he'll be looking to play more of a part.
