Saints Beat Hammers
Michael Svensson and Darren Powell were able to complete over an hour in a 3-2 win for Saints reserves against West Ham. The news will come as a boost for fans.
Svensson and Powell are now pushing towards a first team return. The promotion push will be boosted if Svensson can return to the form that saw reported interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Saints took the lead when Andrew Surman scored an excellent goal after being set up by David McGoldrick.
Powell and Svensson combined to disastrous effect when they brought down Carlos Tevez in the area.
The Argentinian striker recovered well to slot the penalty past Bartosz Bialkowski.
David McGoldrick then restored Saints' advantage with a firm strike, the lead was doubled when Adam Lallana scored with a curling shot into the top corner.
