Michael Svensson was said to be about to take a place on the bench in some of Saints' next first team games, now he is on the sidelines once again.
Svensson lined up against Aldershot reserves in a youthful Saints team. He took a kick on the knee and came off as a precaution but he will no doubt be worried that the knee is still this sensitive so far down the road to recovery.
Saints medical staff are now waiting to see how the knee settles down before making any announcement.
Saints fans, who had looked forward to the return of their hero, will no be worried whether or not Svensson will ever recover enough to cope with a demanding first team schedule.
For now we have to wait and see. From all at Vital Southampton we would like to wish Michael Svensson all the best in his latest comeback.
