Rasiak on his current form

SAINTS striker Grzegorz Rasiak has stated that this season is the best of his career.

The Polish striker has so far netted 18 goals this season but amazingly 14 of those have come away from St Mary's.

Speaking to the official site he said: 'I don't know why it has worked out like that. I think I have played more times away from home and also I get a bit more space.

But it has been my best season for goals. My previous best was 17 with Derby and before that 16 in Poland with Groclin.

'I had set myself a target of 20 goals for the season but I am almost there no so hopefully soon I will be able to set a new target.'

Speaking to the Echo he added: 'It's the best season in my career.

'At Derby I scored 17 goals and that was my best and I had scored 16 or 17 for my club in Poland before that.

'So now I have scored more goals than in any season in my career.'
