No Pompey/Saints Clash in Manchester

No Pompey/Saints Clash in Manchester

No Manchester Saints/Pompey street Clash

The FA have insured that there will be no trouble in Manchester between Saints and Pompey fans by re-arranging saints game if they get Man City.

The FA Cup always seems to insure some intresting cup ties but possibly the most intersting thing about this 4th Round draw was the fact the both Southampton and Portsmouth would both be playing in Manchester on the same day, which in the eyes of the FA and im sure also Manchester police this was to be to much of a risk.

It would have ment that both saints and pompey fans would be in Manchester on the same day at simaler times.

Saints FA Cup 4th round date will depend on the outcome of the upcoming FA Cup 3rd re-play between Sheffield Wednesday and Manchester City. If the Owls win the saints will play them at Hillsborough on January 27th at 3pm as originaly planned. However if City win then saints will play on Sunday 28th January at 3pm in order that Saints and Pompey fans dont collide.

The FA Cup 5th round draw will be held on Febuary 17th which saints will be hoping to be included in.
