Burley's Burnley Match Reaction

Burley's Burnley Match Reaction

Burley Angry With Ref Bates

Burleys reaction to saints boring 0-0 home draw with Burnley was one of anger after he was dissapointed saints were not awarded a second half penalty.

Speaking to reporters after the game Burley said 'McGreal took out Licka right in front of the referee and I cannot believe he did not give the penalty,'

He did however see some possitives from the situation saying 'We've now only lost one game in the last 15 at home and we're starting to build a bit of consistency.

'I thought we should have won this game. It was two points dropped today because I felt we were clearly in control and we dominated the game especially in the second half.

'We did not create enough clear-cut chances and that was the only thing lacking from our game today.

'If we continue to play like this and create more goalscoring chances then I feel we can really go somewhere.'
