No bids accepted for Prutton

WITH nothing being simple at St Mary's, gaffer George Burley has now stated that there has been no offer accepted for Saints midfielder David Prutton.

Last week Hull City manager Phil Brown told the press that a bid had been accepted and that the player and team were set to start negotiations.

But in today's Echo Burley said: 'There has been no bid accepted from Hull City.

'...there is no change in the situation.

'We turned down a bid last week and there is no change as far as Hull and David is concerned.

'The situation is exactly the same as last week.'

Well someone's lying. But who's making statements for home consumption and who isn't? Or are both??
