To the Board - Now Is The Time

To the Board - Now Is The Time

Report from REDROBIN

The transfer window is past its halfway mark and no news of any incoming Saint.

On the other hand there is plenty of chat about possible exits....Bale, Baird, Prutton.......not what you expect from a club chasing promotion. And make no mistake, Saints do have a genuine chance to

chieve an automatic go-to-the-Premiership slot.

In fact, one view could be that Saints are just one new and true striker away from going up. (If only we could have hung on to Theo, but that's another story). I am hopeful that things are really on the move behind the scenes because time is running out. Saints are in a real 'grasp-the-nettle' situation and now is the time to be bold.

I am afraid that in this case the onus rests with THE BOARD who need to back up their incoming commitments and find whatever money it takes to plug the gap(s) in the squad. It would also be nice if those mysterious POTENTIAL NEW INVESTORS, often talked about but as yet not seen, were to put in an appearance.

Finally, if Manchester United, those arch reapers of other clubs' talent, are to eventually get Gareth Bale (remembering that Michael Wilde committed at the AGM not to sell him this January), it would be useful to the cause if they paid well over market rate as a goodwill gesture.

Saints have a genuine opportunity to get back to the Premiership.

Let's go for it!
