Yeovil want Best and Cranie

Yeovil want Best and Cranie

LEAGUE ONE side Yeovil Town are hoping to sign Martin Cranie and Leon Best for the rest of the season.

The Saints pair have both been on loan at Yeovil this season. Cranie has since returned from his loan deal. Whilst Leon Best is still enjoying his spell at Yeovil.

Yeovil gaffer Russell Slade said to the local paper: 'I'd love Martin Cranie to come back, Obviously a lot depends on Southampton and their manager, George Burley.

'He has to look at his injury situation and when he might have players coming back. When they do, it might be that Martin can come out on loan again. He would be a great acquisition for us because he did terrifically well when he was here. He just wants to play first-team football.

'With Leon, if we wanted him on loan for the rest of the season we would have to do it before the transfer window closes.

'If that didn't happen we could look to get him on another month. We'll look at both options and see what Southampton allow us to do.
