More confusion regarding Bale

More confusion regarding Bale

THE NATIONAL newspapers this morning are speculating on the latest news regarding Gareth Bale's transfer.

Yesterday a reported £10 million bid was made from a club 'other than Manchester United', according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail reports that the bid is believed to have been from Arsenal.

Whilst the Mirror is reporting that it was Tottenham Hotspur who made the bid and they also suggest that the bid was accepted, reporting 'TOTTENHAM boss Martin Jol was last night locked in negotiations with Southampton whizzkid Gareth Bale after having a £10million bid accepted.'

While the Independent, report that the £10 million was rejected and the Echo deny that the bid was made altogether!

A 'source' told the Echo: 'There has been no bid from any club for £10m or any other bid other than the two that were rejected earlier this month.

'While it is known that clubs other than Spurs and Manchester United remain interested, there has been no fresh approach and they have not yet made a bid'.

Totally agree, wasn't it the Mirror that reported a deal had been done with Manchester United? Now they reckon Spurs! There just making it up!

It certainly wont be arsenal. We have clichy who is only 21 & our own 17 year old wonder kid in Armand Traore so there is no way on earth that Wenger would spend 10 million on a left back when we already have two excellent ones. Its going to have come from the spuds because you only have to look at the two they currently have for left back & they are in such desperate need. They also sold Davenport recently despite the fact he was their back up to King & Dawson so they were obviously trying to raise money!!
