Bale, learn from the others!

Bale, learn from the others!

GAFFER George Burley has again told Gareth Bale that he would be better off staying at Southampton.

Sky Sports News reported yesterday that 'Premiership fans' will be seeing free kicks like this at a ground near you soon'.

While Southampton fans keep fingers crossed that Burley will march the saints to promotion this season, they will also be hoping that Gareth Bale is still in the squad when they do it.

Burley has explained to the Echo that Bale would be better off staying on numerous occasions, but this time he has given examples of why its better to stay!

'Take England keeper Richard Wright, whom I gave his Ipswich debut at 17. When Arsenal came in for him I told him it was too early but he wouldn't listen.

'I said he would benefit from having another season playing for Ipswich. However, Arsenal turned his head and he went.

'Where is he now? I don't want that to happen to Gareth'.

Then there's Theo Walcott: 'Had he stayed here and then gone to Arsenal it would not have damaged his career in any way. If you are good enough, you are going to get to the top and win everything you need.

'I believe that when you are sold to a club like Arsenal, you need to be ready to step into their first team. Theo is not there yet'.

Good examples of staying at a club and then moving on are Kieron Dyer and Darren Bent, who just so happen to have been at Burley's former club Ipswich.

So come on Bale, stay a Saint!

You can find the caps lock button next to the "A" key on your computer. Perhaps Saints fans have a bit more of a life than to be sat on their PC all day waiting for a story to be written? Now ***** off back to your Spuds site.
