Skacel set for return

RUDI SKACEL could be set to return to action against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Czech midfielder has been suffering with an achilles problem but could be set for a return.

Saints gaffer Burley told the official site: 'Losing Rudi has been a big problem for us. We have played Jermaine Wright, David McGoldrick and Mario Licka on the flanks but they are not really naturally wide players.

'Missing four wide men has given us a problem as far as the shape of the side is concerned and Rudi gives us width down the left as well as his shots, crosses and energy.

It will be good to have him back. He has trained for a few days now and will be back in the squad tomorrow. but that is the only extra player we will have.'
