Premier League Cost Per Goal - 2016/17

Premier League Cost Per Goal - 2016/17

The end of the season means only one thing - no not transfer speculation - but pouring over the statistics from the season just passed to find as much content as you can before the endless transfer invention drives you insane.

Doesn't matter who you are, I'm no different, you have to find something to do and in short - here's the latest thing I found to do.

What did Premier League fans pay for every home goal scored during the 2016/17 campaign.

Call it value for money, or call it a complete rip off, I guess it depends on what your final price was and how many goals you actually had the pleasure of seeing on home soil.

With a nod to the Daily star for doing the legwork, here's the final table for the 20 sides in the Premier League last season and it's ranked in order of the side that polled cheapest for the number of goals actually scored.

For anybody interested, a comparable from the German Bundesliga - their poorest value full stop is £12.05 at Darmstadt's Jonathan Helmes Stadion but their league average per goal stands at £9.17.

English football could still learn a lot couldn't it.
