Reed Heads To Norwich

Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed yesterday made the move to Carrow Road and Norwich City on a season long loan deal.

The 22 year old links up with the Championship side for much needed experience, and he will be hoping to play a big part in helping them challenge for promotion back to the Premier League.

Last December he signed a four and a half year deal at St Mary's and vice chairman of football Les Reed told saintsfc.

'Harry has developed steadily, coming through the Academy ranks to become part of our first-team squad. This is an ideal opportunity for him to take the next step in his progression, at a strong Championship club who have ambitions to be competing at the top end of the league.'

He added.

'Both Harry and the club believe the experience he will gain with Norwich will help him improve even further. Throughout his loan we will be monitoring his performances and we will be in regular dialogue with the staff at Norwich. We look forward to welcoming him back at the end of the season.'

Reed has so far taken in 14 first team starts with 16 further appearances from the substitutes bench.
