Best Extends Loan Deal

Southampton striker Leon Best is set to extend his loan spell with League One outfit Yeovil to a third and final month.
Best has been a revelation since signing for the Glovers and has chipped in with an impressive 10 goals so far this season.

Saints boss George Burley is happy for Best to stay at Huish Park and has told his Yeovil counterpart Russ Slade that he can keep the player until February 24th when he will return to St Mary's.

'It has been verbally agreed between myself and George Burley,' a delighted Slade revealed. 'He is happy for Leon's loan to be extended, which is good news.'

There is a chance Best could force his way into Burley's thoughts on his return if he continues to shine for Yeovil.

I think thats good for him. he'll be able to stay their getting regular football and gaining experiance, then when he comes back he might be able to have a crack at Championship football.
