Best hopes for Saints action

Best hopes for Saints action

SAINTS striker Leon Best hopes that he will be involved in the first team when he re-joins Southampton at the end of this month.

After loans at Bournemouth and Yeovil this season, Best will re-join Southampton on the 23rd February when his 3 month loan deal at Yeovil ends.

Speaking to the Western Daily Press, Best said: 'I would have been delighted to stay until the end of the season, It was up to George Burley, though, and I am looking at the situation positively.

'I'm hoping that the reason for calling me back is because I have a chance of being involved in the first team.

'I would like that to be the case, but I haven't been told that by anyone at the moment.

'If I am called back for nothing it would be a wasted opportunity for me.'
