Saints Boss George Burley has welcomed the appointment of Southampton`s new acting chairman Leon Crouch.
Leon Crouch has stepped up to fill the position left by Michael Wilde who stood down as Saints Chairman on Wednesday
Burley has welcomed the seemingly trouble free transition from Wilde to Crouch and speaking to the Saints official website here is what the saints boss had to say "I have been fortunate since I came to the club. There have been big changes in the boardroom but they have not affected me or the players and that is important."
"I got on very well with Mike Wilde and I get on well with Leon Crouch. I spoke to him earlier this week and he has given me full backing."
"I am glad it has all been sorted quickly and with minimum disruption and that it is business as usual."
"This change will not interfere in any way with the preparations for Preston which is a vital game for us."
