Gillett against McGoldrick

Blackpool against Bournemouth isn't usually a fixture that would interest Saints fans, but tonight it just might.

Both sides are fielding on loan Southampton players, with attacking midfielder Simon Gillett playing for Blackpool and striker David McGoldrick playing for Bournemouth.

Simon Gillett re-joined Blackpool in January after completing a couple of months there at the beginning of the season. Strangely he also played for Bournemouth on loan before he re-joined them. He even scored against Blackpool for Bournemouth.

David McGoldrick has scored 2 in his last 2 games for Bournemouth after joining Bournemouth earlier this month.

His goal against Doncaster on Saturday was spectacular and if his form continues he like Leon Best at Yeovil could work their way back into George Burley's plans.

Gillett was being touted about for a first team spot in January, when we had a lack of creative players, what has he been like at Blackpool?
