Lundekvam on performances

Lundekvam on performances

Claus Lundekvam has echoed the comments that Southampton have not picked up the results that their performances deserve.

While receiving praise from opposition managers and players sounds like a positive, it is actually just a frustration for Southampton fans who see seventh place in the division as simply not good enough.

Claus Lundekvam told the Echo: 'But we've done that quite a few times this season against so-called top sides who are around us, we outplayed Preston first half and should have been well up but didn't take our chances and then were hit by a sucker blow on the stroke of half time.'

If some team scores 3 against you it's going to be hard to expect to win and complain about how well you played. 6 games with a 2-1-3 record is hardly impressive.
