Reserves lose to Brighton

Southampton reserves lost to Brighton 3-0 last night.

It was Southampton's first defeat since joining the Combination League from the Premiership reserves league.

Two goals from Nathan Elder and another from Alex Frutos sealed the points for the Seagulls.

Saints Res: Poke, Hatch, Mills, Licka, Lancashire, Thomson, Dyer (White 45), Lallana, Baseya, James, Dutton-Black (Toti 75). Subs: Byrne, Paterson, Miller.

Brighton Res: Kuipers; P Hinshelwood, Elphick, Cobbs (Bakayogo 55), Rents; Breach, Loft, Frutos (Gargan 90), Ward (J Martin 86); Hart, Elder. Subs: Sullivan (GK), Cobbs, Skinner.
