Bale bids top £10 million
The Gareth Bale transfer saga continued over the weekend.
The News of the World has reported that Manchester United will have to offer at least £11 million to win the signature of the Saints Welsh International.
The paper reported that Southampton turned down a deal of around £10.5 million from Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.
However, other sources at the time did report that Tottenham's offer was actually accepted and that it was the player that turned down the move.
