Goal means nothing for Polish Star

Marek Saganowski picked up his third goal in as many starts for Southampton on Saturday.

But the Polish Striker who joined Southampton on loan in January was not happy as Saints did not pick up the result.

He told the Echo: 'It was nice to get another goal for the club - that's three in my last three starts.

'But I can't be happy because it counted for nothing. It means nothing to me if I score but we still lose.

'Results are all-important and I would be happy to go the rest of the season without scoring again providing it meant we got into the playoffs and then into the Premiership.'

I like him, if Rasiak is rated at 2 then Saga is close, I certainly think we should sign him in the summer

Scummer in the Summer...I like that. That said I like his ethic. Scoring is not as important as a teams performance. If you have a player with that committment you have true loyalty. Something lacking in today's game.

It seems that our loan players (Guthrie and Saganowski) seem to care more about the team than the players we actually own. What does that say about our squad?
