McDonald joins Celtic

McDonald joins Celtic

Former Southampton trainee Scott McDonald will join Celtic from Motherwell in the summer.

McDonald was on the books at Southampton for almost 2 years before being released after making just 1 start and 2 substitute appearances.

McDonald is set to join Celtic for £650,000 and will sign a 3 year deal if he passes the medical.

McDonald told the Herald: 'I have thoroughly enjoyed playing for Motherwell and I will leave with a lot of good memories,' said McDonald. 'I hope the fans appreciate that I want to move on and develop my career and I would like to thank them for the support they have given me.'
