Burley disappointed with NI

Saints gaffer George Burley was disappointed with Northern Ireland officials who invoked a FIFA rule to sideline Chris Baird for the Wolves trip.

Baird missed the Northern Ireland games against Liechtenstein and Sweden through injury.

Baird had recovered to play some part in the game on Saturday, but Northern Ireland blocked any chance of that happening.

Burley told the official site: 'It's totally unfair to the club and the boy who was devastated he couldn't play against Sweden and to be kicked in the teeth again because they've not allowed him to play is staggering.'
