Saganowski out for the season

Saganowski out for the season

Southampton's promotion hopes have taken a huge blow, with the news that on loan star Marek Saganowski will miss the remainder of the season through injury.

Saganowski has become very popular with the SMS crowd since his arrival on loan from Troyes but the news that he may have torn a groin muscle, will leave Southampton without him for the remainder of the campaign, although there is a chance he could return for the playoffs (if we qualify).

Burley told the Echo: 'Marek has been absolutely terrific for us.

'I brought him here on loan and he's shown what he can do, he's grown in stature and his goalscoring record has been phenomenal.'
