Best has been key

Best has been key

Leon Best scored the winning goal against Norwich to launch Saints back into the playoff places.

Best was overlooked for the majority of the season and really only gave Best his chance after injuries to Jones, Rasiak and Saganowski.

Burley told the Echo: 'Leon has come in in the last month or so and has done very well for us.

'He's looked lively with pace and strength and took his goal very well.

'He has played a key role of late.

'His energy, pace and strength can make him a handful for any defence.

'For young players I've always said playing regular brings their game on.'
