Playoffs is in Saints hands

With the victory over Norwich, Southampton's destiny is again in their own hands.

The last place in the playoffs is likely to be between ourselves and Stoke. Mathematically Saints could still reach fourth, but as long as Southampton match or better Stoke's performance this weekend, then Southampton will be in the playoffs.

Burley told the official site: 'Our fate is own hands which is all you can ask at this stage of the season.

'Our aim at the start was to finish in the top six and we can do that - but it is incredibly tight.

It looks as though it could go down to goal difference or even goals scored so we have to make sure we keep going right to the end.

'We will keep an eye on other scores but the main thing is to make sure we do it right'

Looks far too good from where I am sitting, how can I continue to be so negative with the position we are now in?

We have injuries galore and a small squad to choose from.I very much doubt you will have anything to worry about Saturday although I hope I am wrong.3000 tickets were originally sold to Shrimpers and I expect most of them will turn up even though we have been relegated.Blue ARMY!!
