Saints need a Ram Raid

Southampton's promotion bid is now in the balance.

The winning streak ended with a 2-1 defeat at SMS to Derby.

The Playoff semi final second leg moves north to Pride Park tonight, Saints need to turn around a one goal deficit and could be without vital key players.

Obviously Saints are without Claus Lundekvam who picked up an injury against Southend. With Darren Powell also out, the Saints continue to look short of cover in defence.

To compound that problem, Gareth Bale is also a doubt a long with Kenwyne Jones and Alex Ostlund who will face late fitness tests.

Southampton need to step it up tonight. Come 10pm tonight, we will know whether our future holds another 46 games in the second tier of English football or a place in a Wembley show piece in what is dubbed the richest match in football.

COME ON YOU RAMS!
pompey4me
You really are rubbish. Can't believe you lost that game. Your only good player on the pitch came from Pompey. And as fo the penalties. Oh My God! You really have out done yourself this time. You don't deserve to be back in the premiership. You just SCUM! An absolute waste of space! Ha Ha Ha Ha!
POMPEYMEV
Even Jhon Viafara prefers Pompey to SCUM. He is out clubbing in Pompey most weekends with Dejan Stefanovic. Ha ha That has made my day. Another year in the fizzy pop league for the worst team in Hampshire!
POMPEYMEV
Well done you Rams!
POMPEYMEV
Suppose I should leave a little space on this page for my fellow Pompey Men to slate you too. I bid you fair well! Losers!
POMPEYMEV
It's past your bedtime POMPEYMEV, go home. I'm proud to be a Saints fan tonight, yes we may have lost but to overturn the deficit from the first leg showed great spirit, considering our makeshift side.
SaintGeorge
Cracking game but never mind. The best team eventually won.
