Saints wait on Best
Southampton are still waiting to here from striker Leon Best whether he will accept their contact offer.
Best spent loan spells at Bournemouth and Yeovil during the season and after tallying up an impressive goal scoring record there he was called back by George. He won a starting place in the first team and ended the season with a tally of 4 goals.
Leicester and Nottingham Forrest have said to have shown interest but are both waiting to here weather he decides to stick with Saints.
Burley said 'We have been in contact with his agent and we are close to matching what he is asking for. We have done everything we can, but we can`t force him to sign. We have made several different offers over the last fue months but so far he has not accepted any.`
