Baird Wants Out!

Baird Wants Out!

Southampton has moved to confirm press speculation that Saints player of the season Chris Baird HAS requested to be made available for transfer.

Southampton rejected a bid of £2.5 Million from Fulham last week with saints boss George Burley labelling the bid as "Derisory" and "Far below the clubs valuation"

Baird was awarded the title of Saints fans player of the season following his consistently key performances at right back, Baird was also granted the privilege of being Captain.

A club statement issued on the official website said "We received a transfer request from Chris Baird late yesterday. There is no further comment at this stage"
