Cranie set to move on

Cranie set to move on

Southampton gaffer George Burley has conceded defeat that he will lose Martin Cranie.

Burley told the Echo: 'Unfortunately with young players they get a little bit frustrated when they're not playing regular.

'When somebody hasn't been playing regular they think a move somewhere might push their career forward.'

With Cranie under the age of 23, Southampton will be due a transfer fee that will be set by tribunal.

The Echo believe that this could be as high as £200,000, with Yeovil the most likely destination.
