Pompey pay 150,000 for Cranie

The Mirror have reported that the agreed fee between Southampton and Portsmouth for Martin Cranie was 150,000.

Southampton were due compensation for Cranie's departure due to his age and if the clubs couldn't agree on a fee, the matter would have been decided in a tribunal.

10 days ago the Echo suggested that Southampton would struggle to get around 200,000 for Cranie and around 500,000 for striker Leon Best who is also set to walk away from SMS.
