Pompey pay £150,000 for Cranie

The Mirror have reported that the agreed fee between Southampton and Portsmouth for Martin Cranie was £150,000.

Southampton were due compensation for Cranie's departure due to his age and if the clubs couldn't agree on a fee, the matter would have been decided in a tribunal.

10 days ago the Echo suggested that Southampton would struggle to get around £200,000 for Cranie and around £500,000 for striker Leon Best who is also set to walk away from SMS.
