Wise words for ex-Saint Cranie

Wise words for ex-Saint Cranie

Recently departed defender Martin Cranie has been sent a warning from the last man to cross the divide from Saints to Pompey, Scott Hiley.

Hiley, who eventually became captain and won the player of the season award in his first season with the blue half of the M27, believes it will be a huge test for the young defender Cranie, who only made 16 appearances for Saints.

Hiley told the Daily Echo that 'if he is a strong character, plays to the best of his abilities and gives 110 per cent they will accept him as a Portsmouth player - because that's all they want.'

One game with us and he thinks he will play in the Premiership? He'll be farmed out to Yeovil again by Christmas

We won't slate him just because of his past, we are a bit past that now.
