Vignal trial at St.Marys

Vignal trial at St.Marys

Reports from France say that Gregory Vignal is starting an 8 day trail with the Saints.

The defender is unhappy at Lens as he is looking to leave, despite the fact he had a fairly good loan spell at German side Kaiserslauten for 6 months at the end of the season.

He is 26 years old and is by trade a left back although could step up into left midfield. He has premiership experience with Liverpool and local rivals Portsmouth.

He seems to be an ideal replacement for Gareth Bale. But perhaps more importantly his possible arrival could mean that Skacel could step forward into Left Midfield, giving the team more width and more going forward!

If all goes as expected he could play against Eastleigh as it is a friendly game.

No no Paultsmouth, you mean he's excellent.....no-one can get past him, and he powers up that wing like Cristiano Ronaldo in full flow...! Sign him up Burley!
