Gregory Vignal could be George Burley's replacement for teen sensation Gareth Bale this season, after impressing during a trial stint with Saints.
Saints are eyeing a year long loan deal for the French defender, and boss Burley told the club's official site, 'We are short a left back with Gareth Bale leaving. He loves to get forward and has a good left foot and we should know more next week.'
Vignal would become Saints' third summer signing, but fellow trialist Tamas Vasko does not look like following him. So the search for a centre back continues...
