Kelvin Davis is a major doubt for the new season.

George Burley has accepted the fact that Kelvin Davis is not going to be ready for the new season.

Burley said he is a doubt for The Crystal Palace game at St.Marys stadium. The game is now on general sale for the game on August 11th, kick off 3pm.

Kelvin Davis dislocated a finger, it's tough luck on the former Sunderland keeper who only played 15 minutes before this game in the Pre-season. He clashed with Andy Forbes against Eastleigh at The Silverlake Stadium. That put him out for the tour of Norway and the friendlies back home in England.

He will also be push and go for the cup game against The Posh, but if fit might feature to help get his fitness up.

Saints will be in safe hands as Bartosz Bialkowski will be between the sticks, with other youngster Mike Poke on the bench.
