Skipper needs Op

Claus Lundekvam was subbed off against Southend on the final day of last season.

He hoped to be back for the start of this season, he played 20 minutes in Norway and 45 minutes against Bournemouth in Pre-Season. But the pain hasn't gone away, he will go in for an Op on wednesday.

Providing it's just a clearout he will be out for around 2 months, if it's a tear it could mean he is out for about 12 weeks to 3 months.

This is a blow for saints, Darren Powell is touch and go for Watford, this could mean Chris Makin has to cover at the back.

Claus will be raring to get back into the side as he is expected to retire at the end of the season.
