Wright to Saints

Saints have signed Leeds midfielder Jermaine Wright, initially on a one month loan deal.

Wright played under Burley while at Ipswich Town and signed for Leeds in June 2004 for £500,000.

He's failed to hold down a place in the Leeds first team and was sent on loan to Millwall earlier this season, where he made 15 appearances scoring twice.

Hopefully George Burley's influence can help the 30-year-old recapture the form he showed at Ipswich in the Premiership. Burley is pleased to be linking up with Wright again, he told the official site:

'He is a versatile midfielder who can play anywhere across the middle. He is creative but can stop the opposition and cross a good ball too'
