Burley off to Scotland

Burley off to Scotland

The SFA have approached Southampton FC about George Burley.

All other 3 candidates which includes Mark McGhee of Motherwell and Gordon Strachans number 2 are doing well in there current job.

Burley is highly rated north of the border and it's hard to see why, he may of had a little tun with Ipswitch and a good spell at Hearts, which co-incided with Rudi Skacel's form, but other than that he hasn't done too much, since being at saints he has proved how poor of a manager he is.

Generally speaking saints fans are wanting Burley to get the Scotland job, many fans have been asking for him to step down, but getting compensation would be great for the club and hopefully this will bring a new, post Burley era at St.Mary's.

If GB was to go now i would be gutted. We are pretty stable at the moment. We are unlikely to achieve promotion new manager or no. Stick with what we got till the end of the season.

Burley is a good manager and the article is completely unreasonable......Ipswich doesn't have a t in it!

As a Scotland fan I don't fancy Burley for the job - but as a Hearts fan I could be biased. How is Skacel's form these days?

This article is seriously correct, he is such a poor manager. Especially his tactics and team selection. Skacel has been a waste of money.

Saints fans who's expectations are still unreasonabley high think also think that they know better than George Burley even without access to pro-zone and day to day experience of the players. Some idiots seem to think that because they can name their favorite 11 they should be a football manager! BTW Skacel is playing well at lef back in the absence of a genuine left back at the club
