Saints v Watford

Saints face a tough televised clash against The Hornets tonight.

The visitors are now fourth in the table and pushing Sheffield Utd for the final automatic promotion place. Currently they're only six point behind The Blades with tonight's game in hand.

Saints go into the match nineteenth after a four match unbeaten run that should have included three wins, but instead only returned one, due to late defensive slips.

Vital Quotes:

Saints Team News:

Darren Powell has picked up a hamstring strain in training and is set to miss out. Darren Potter also sustained a calf strain in training this week and will be sidelined for around two weeks.

Matt oakley is also still unavailable and Djamel Belmadi and David Prutton are not fit, though both should return to training next week.

Alexander Ostlund and Marian Pahars are both set to return to the squad.

Player to watch: Peter Madsen

The Danish international has looked a quality player since joining in January and initially he was just short of match fitness. He's been getting stronger with every match and now appears to have adapted to the English game; last week he capped his performance off with his first Saints goal.

Watford Team News:

Watford have star striker Marlon King returning from a hamstring injury and illness.

Player to watch: Marlon King

Pretty obvious to any opposing defence why he's the player to watch, he's the Championship top scorer with 18 goals so far this season.

Match Facts & Stats

Match Prediction:

I'm going for a possibly optimistic 2-2, though I won't be surprised if Watford win either, as they definitely have more to play for.
