Southampton vs. Yeovil

St Mary's Stadium

Tues 8th March 2011

7.45pm

Southampton v Yeovil Preview

After the win at Colchester the Saints will be fired up with a new hope of closing the gap on the 2nd placed team.

Saints have won their last two home games and with Yeovil having lost earlier this season at home the omens are good.

While a win is a must a good performance as well would certainly give the team and the fans another boost.

Vital Quotes:

Southampton Team News:

Guly do Prado is still recovering from his hamstring strain and will probably join Morgan Schneiderlin on the side lines.

Player to watch: Rickie Lambert

Rickie has recovered his form and looks like the player we bought last season. He is due another goal and I am hopeful that he will produce the goods.

Yeovil Team News:

Paul Wotton could be forced to miss a return to St Mary's with a hamstring injury.Ed Upson is likely to take his place. Winger Andy Welsh is likely to remain out after missing five games.

Antonio German , Oli Johnson and Dean Bowditch are all fighting for a place.

Player to watch: Dean Bowditch

This striker could ask a few questions of our defence if we allow him the space.

Match Facts & Stats

Saints have only played twice at home to Yeovil winning both.

Ref Watch:

Mr Keith Hill Officiates Mr I Cooper & Mr K Johnson assist. Mr D Eaton is 4th official.

Match Prediction:

With Saints needing to be on top form I have a hunch a few goals will be scored. 3-0.
