Charlton have hit a blip as they try to gain their place in the promotion hunt. They will be desperate to get back on track and by winning at home to us they can go a long way towards righting their ship.
Saints have hit winning form of late by taking maximum points from their last four matches. Lambert and Barnard have rekindled the fire that burnt so well last season and are starting to glow brightly.
Tonights result at Milton Keynes may help to ease the pressure on the Saints as they have gained a game on Peterborough after they lost. Win and we go second.
Defender Gary Doherty could return from injury as could midfielder Joe Ayinsah. Leeds loanie may also be in contention for a start.
ohnny Jackson and Kelly Youga are both likely to miss out.
Ex Saint Phillips will be hungry to score against his old club.
Guly and Bialkowski are both likely to be in the matchday squad. Oscar Gobern misses his second game after his red card last week.
Schneiderlin, Holmes and Connolly are still out.
Rickie has started to find his form of last season and could be a big plus with his partnership with Barnard always likely to spark.
Charlton hold sway over Saints with 12 wins, 10 draws and only 7 defeats at home.
Mr Andy D'Urso officiates Mr L Collins & Mr B Holderness assist. Mr E Kaye is 4th Official.
With slight concern I go for a 1-2 scoreline.
