Brentford vs. Southampton

Griffin Park

Sat 30th April 2011

3pm

Bees v Saints

It has now reached the final flourish as Saints keep pushing for the second place position that they desperately seek. Brentford fans will be hoping that they can do a number on us to force ever more pressure on us in our last two games.

Vital Quotes:

Brentford Team News:

Brentford have had some serious injury problems of late and appear to still have a shortage of available players.Keeper Richard Lee is still likely to be out and he is likely to be joined by Osborne and Alexander after missing the last match at Notts County. Balkestein, Legge and Woodman are also likely to be missing.

Player to watch: Moore

The keeper may have a busy afternoon ahead of him and he might have to be on his best form to have any chance of keeping us out.

Southampton Team News:

After making 6 changes for the last match, Adkins might bring back Jaidi and Chaplow. Schneiderlin is getting closer to a recall as he recovers from his injury.

Player to watch: Adam Lallana

Coming back from injury Adam is likely to be nearing full fitness now and could be our main attacking threat with his ball skills coming to the fore.

Match Facts & Stats

Brentford have the edge in our previous meetings. They have won 8 drawn 6 with Saints winning 5.

Saints will be determined to gain revenge for the earlier defeat at St Mary's just before Xmas.

Ref Watch:

Mr Trevor Kettle officiates. Mr R Mackay & Mr S Rubery assist. 4th official is Mr M Blackledge.

Match Prediction:

The game is likely to be a rather tense affair but I still think Saints can manage to win. 1-2
