Coventry vs Southampton

Saints travel to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday to try and extend their lead at the top before the international break.

Nigel Adkins' men have avoided defeat in nine of the last 10 league games and sit five points clear in first place.

Coventry have made a dreadful start to the season - having only won twice in 15 league games.

He told the official website: 'If we get three points then we'll go into the mini break top of the league with three wins on the spin and that would be great.'

Coventry City Team News:

Full-back Chris Hussey will once again miss out with a foot injury.

Player to watch: Gary McSheffrey

Gary McSheffrey is enjoying his second spell at his hometown club and has the ability to cause Southampton problems.

Southampton Team News:

Former Sky Blue Danny Fox is likely to start against his former club after being rested on Tuesday against Peterborough.

Jack Cork, another former Coventry player could start for the Saints with Adkins adopting a rotation system in centre midfield.
