Nottingham Forest vs. Southampton

Nottm Forest v Southampton

Southampton travel to Nottingham on the end of some extremely poor results. With the chasing pack now having caught us we could easily drop a few places if losing this game.

It has been said many times before, but this is a game that we should be capable of winning. Having lost at both Doncaster and Bristol City we as Saints fans are not as confident as perhaps we should be with us being top of the league.

The team says that they remain confident and with thathought in mind I am hopeful of seeing us return to the form which got us to the head of the table.t

Vital Quotes:

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Steve Cotterill is sweating on the fitness of centre-half Wes Morgan, who has been out since mid-December. Ishmael Miller played a big part at St Mary's but is unlikely to be fully fit. Brendan Moloney is also likely to miss the game.

Player to watch: Chris Gunter

Steve has had some in and out performances but he has shown glimpses of skill. I feel that this is the type of game where given the opportunity he could shine.

Chris had a good game at St Mary's and will be looking forward to playing against Adam Lallana again as he had him well subdued.

Southampton Team News:

Rickie Lambert misses his 2nd game of his 3 match suspension. Chaplow, Barnard, Seaborne, Jaidhi remain sidelined. Fonte may still be out as may Richardson.
Harding may again be brought in as his cover.

Player to watch: Steve De Ridder

Steve has had some in and out performances but he has shown glimpses of skill. I feel that this is the type of game where given the opportunity he could shine.
