Leeds United vs. Southampton

Leeds United v Southampton

Southampton travel to Elland Road on the back of a decent run and will be hoping to leave with a point or three.

Leeds will have a new manager, and one with a good record for gaining promotion from this league. Neil Warnock will be having his first match at home since taking over and his players will be trying their hardest to impress.

Vital Quotes:

Leeds United Team News:

Former Portsmouth striker Danny Webber has been reunited with old boss Neil Warnock at Elland Road this week, with the pair having previously worked together at Sheffield United.

Alex Bruce was forced off early last week goal, and defensive options have been reduced after Adam Smith was recalled early by parent club Tottenham Hotspur.

Player to watch: Danny Webber

The former Pompey striker could prove to be a thorn in our side and will need close attention.

Southampton Team News:

Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert are both hoping to be fit for this game after receiving knocks in the last game.

Frazer Richardson and Guly do Prado should be ready if picked.

Player to watch: Billy Sharp

Billy could feel at home back in Yorkshire and show the form which we bought him for.

Match Facts & Stats

Leeds have a very good record at home against Saints having won 25, drawn 13 and lost just 6.

Ref Watch:

Mr Nigel Miller officiates assisted by Mr S Duncan and Mr P Kettlewell. The Fourth Official is Mr. J. Adcock.

Match Prediction:

My heart says Saints win but my head doesn't. I'll cop out and go for a 2-2 draw.

I am going for a hard fought draw as well. Think that the Leeds lot will be up for this with the new man at the helm.

Another massive game! Warnock's first home game could have an impact - but we always try and attack and win the game, so this could be a thriller. Going for a draw, too.
