Norwich vs. Saints

Carrow Road

Preview - Norwich v Saints

Bassett and Wise take saints to Carrow Road looking for a victory that would give them the management job full time.

Dave Bassett told Saintsfc.co.uk:

'Norwich managed to keep most of their players and have added a few but they have not done as well as many thought, similar to ourselves and Palace'

'But Norwich also have a good chance of making the play-offs and with a good run they can do it so this is a vital game for us'

Norwich Team News:

Jason Shackell is still injured and Peter Thorne will face a late fitness test.

Darren Huckerby is fit to challenge Paul McVeigh for a place up front. Leon McKenzie is also unlikely to to be fit in time for the match.

Player to watch: Dean Ashton

Proved himself to be quality striker in the Premiership last season.

Saints Team News:

Michael Svensson and Claus Lundekvam are both still out with injury so Darren Kenton will start in central defence, against his old club. With Rory Delap suspended after his sending off against Luton, Martin Cranie or Chris Baird should get a chance to impress.

Marian Pahars is still not ready to return, so the promising partnership of Jones and Walcott will probably continue.

Player to watch: Theo Walcott

Lets hope for a repeat of the audacious winner he scored against Luton.
