Eastleigh Vs Saints!

As pre-season edges ever closer Saints will look to get off to a good start over Non-league rivals Eastleigh. Last season saints lost 2-1 against Eastleigh. Bradley Wright-Phillips on target for saints! The question we have to ask is which dug-out will Jason Dodd be in. In 8 and a half days time we should know!

Please enjoy this early preview!

Vital Quotes:

The main talking point will be Jason Dodd, who knows which team he'll be arriving with

Eastleigh Team News:

Eastleigh are expected no name a full strength team. Former Saints player Wayne Shaw could feature for the Spitfires

Player to watch: Andy Forbes

Home player to watch could be Andy Forbes, he almost ended up moving to Sheffield Wednesday before he was at Eastleigh. He maybe not as on form as what he was at Winchester City but still a threat, especially to a weak defence.

Southampton Team News:

Saints will be without Jhon Viafara who is on international duty with Columbia. Marek Saganowski may not start after being allowed to miss some fitness training with the rest of his team-mates. Jermaine Wright will be in contention after overcoming an injury.

Player to watch: Bartosz Bialkowski

Southampton player to watch will be young 'keeper Bartosz Bialkowski. Last seasons friendly was lost due to a goal keeping howler from veteran Kevin Miller, look out for an organized defence and a young Pole who can fill the whole goal
