Southampton vs. Stoke City

St.Marys stadium Southampton

Saints take on Stoke

Saints take on Stoke in match too close to call.

Saints are very wary of Stoke Citys, 'hoof' tactic.

Stoke City give the long ball game a new meaning, with no skill in the midfield and strikers who cant keep the ball on the floor, it's obvious they are a hoof team, lumping the ball to the big lumps up top.

The dirty tactics have worked this season so far, Stoke are top at the moment. But that wont last.

Stoke fans

Stoke will bring about 1000 fans to St.Marys for the game.

They were treated to a 2-1 win against Charlton in a virtually empty stadium.

Southampton Team News:

Saints set to go with Davis in goal, Wayne Thomas and Darren Powell will play together at the back.

Chris Makin is injured, so is Claus Lundekvam. Vignal limped off in training on tuesday. Kenwyne Jones and Jhon Viafara should start

Player to watch: Andrew Surman

Usually i would say to look at the man making his home debut, but Andrew Surman will be watched by members of the South African FA.

Stoke City Team News:

Higginbotham is expected to not play. Fuller could line up alongside The beast Parkin

Player to watch: Rory Delap

Saints record signing of £4million will play against saints.

Saints will be delighted when his long throws end up in the hands of the keeper
